Citizen's Advice Scotland - CAS

Citizens Advice Scotland is a national umbrella body that provides essential services to Scottish citizens advice bureaux
Citizens advice bureaux  independent, local charities that are members of Citizens Advice Scotland.  Bureaux provide advice and information to people in need in over 200 locations.

Federation of Independent Advice Centers' - FIAC

FIAC is an umbrella organisation for independent advice centres. It provides them with various services, including professional indemnity insurance, recruitment and training courses.

Association of Independent Advice Centers' - AIAC

AIAC is a voluntary organisation for the independent advice sector in Northern Ireland.

Trading Standards Departments - Institute of Trading Standards Administration - ITSA

Local Authority Co-coordinating Body on Trading Standards - LACORS

LACORS provides advice and guidance to help support local authority regulatory and related services. It was set up in 1978 to coordinate the enforcement activities of trading standards, also food safety and is currently responsible for a range of other regulatory and related services.
LACORS is a local government central body created by the UK local authority associations.

Scottish Consumer Council - SCC

The Scottish Consumer Councils mission is to help everyone get a better deal by making the consumer voice heard.

Welsh Consumer Council - WCC

The Welsh Consumer Council's mission is to provide a high quality of life for consumers. This means ensuring markets and public services work for consumers and empowering consumers so they feel able to be demanding in their selection and use of goods and services.

N. Ireland Consumer Council - NICC

The Northern Ireland Consumer Council's l mission is to provide a high quality of life for consumers. This means ensuring markets and public services work for consumers and empowering consumers so they feel able to be demanding in their selection and use of goods and services.

National Consumers' Federation - NCF

The National Consumer Federation encourages and co-ordinates the work of voluntary, independent local Consumer Groups, Individual Consumers and those who have an interest in Consumer Affairs through other organisations. It represents their views nationally. NCF and the local Groups are non-party political and non-profit making.

Public Utilities Access Forum - PUAF

PUAF facilitates the exchange of information and opinions between bodies concerned with the provision of those utilities to consumers with low incomes or special service needs, such as the elderly and people with mental and physical disabilities. It draws the particular problems of such consumers to the attention of the industries, the regulators and other relevant bodies, promoting the adoption of policies and practices which cater for their needs, exchanging information about service provision and promoting research.

British & Irish Ombudsman Association (BIOA)

BIOA Provides information for the public about ombudsman and complaint handling schemes on the internet. It is a focal point for ombudsman schemes, complaint handling bodies and other members of the Association to seek and exchange information.

DIAL UK  Disabilities Information Advice Line

DIAL UK, is national organisation for a network of approximately 130 local Disability Information and Advice Line services (DIALs) run by and for disabled people.
DIAL information and advice services are based throughout the UK and provide information and advice to disabled people and others on all aspects of living with a disability.

Northern Ireland Association of Citizens Advice Bureaux

Citizens Advice helps people resolve their debt, benefits, housing, legal, discrimination, employment, immigration, consumer and other problems and is available to everyone regardless of race, gender, sexuality, age, nationality, disability or religion.
The organisation is the largest advice-giving charity in Northern Ireland.

Hearing Concern

Hearing Concern is a national charity dedicated to improving the quality of life for people who are deaf or hard of hearing.It is a volunteer led organisation to providing advice, information and support, and professional awareness of the issues associated with hearing loss.

PHONEbrain wants you to be able to recognise premium rate services, understand the potential costs involved and know how to solve any problems you might encounter.

Cisas (The Communications and Internet Service Adjudication Scheme)

CISAS is an independent consumer adjudication service. CISAS sets out to resolve disputes between consumers (or small businesses with 10 employees or fewer) in dispute with public communications providers that are members of CISAS.

ADR Now

ADR refers to alternative dispute resolution - options for resolving disputes without going to court.
